Our first full day in London ended at the Marlborough Arms pub on Torrington Place and Huntley. A couple of pints, fish and chips, and apple pie with custard on top - a classic! It seems that Londoners love the hustle and bustle, but also enjoy some downtime in open spaces. Parks and squares dot the area around our flat, each full of flowers, animals, and people seeking a little peace and quiet. At any time of the day, one can observe city dwellers and visitors alike enjoying a coffee, lunch, nap, a good book, or just a conversation. I'm anxious to see what the city is like during the weekend.
